Development Residential District Leningrad Region, Bugry, Russia
Social Experiment: Population Zoning by Age, “Circulation” of Relocations, and Family Self-Service.
In relatively low-rise houses with an environment close to suburban living, the population of older generations, including retirees, occupies 132,240.0 sq. m.
In high-rise buildings (predominantly studio apartments) located around the perimeter of the neighborhood, the younger population occupies 119,472.0 sq. m.
The middle generation is distributed in multi story buildings based on demographic data and predefined apartment layouts, covering 295,260.0 sq. m.
The goal for the neighborhood is to create a “Garden City.”
In general, the task for the entire quarter is to create a “Garden City.” To achieve this, typical sectional houses are designed in the form of “tree houses.” The resulting triangular arched openings are intended to spatially connect green public areas and create pedestrian pathways.
This proposal aims to break away from the stereotype of featureless box-like houses and fences, presenting a new approach to housing design based on modern trends and the principles of “green construction” and environmentally sustainable architecture.
